| Welcome. Flamingo Communications specializes in technical
documentation such as software manuals, management procedures, training
guides, online help, and Web sites. My goal is to explain your product or
service in a way that is clear, complete, and friendly.

The problem we tackle most often is getting your message across to the user, whether that's how to use your system, why they'll like using your system, or how it meets their needs. We also help in the design process, by representing the user's point of view, using our knowledge of visual design to contribute to screen layouts, and being in-house testers. The result is a more efficient creation process and a product that reduces business costs by reducing calls for help to your techical support people. Some of the key components of a good documentation project are:
I've been a technical communicator since 1995. My background is in computer systems (I used to be a programmer, which is why I find creating Web sites so much fun), I'm a retired Naval officer, and my hobby is oceanography. And the flamingo? It helps me keep my sense of whimsy healthy. Browse around, and if you have any questions or comments be sure to let me know. |
